Recent Segments from The Annex


Since the fall of 2017, this project has collaborated with notable sociologists from across the United States, Canada, and Ireland to produce an audio catalog that, as of April 2019, attracts an average 300 daily listens.  This catalog includes four series.

The Annex is a lighthearted banter and interview podcast that tackles issues of interest to sociology academics and doctoral students. It is hosted by Joseph Cohen (CUNY Queens College), Leslie Hinkson (Georgetown), and Gabriel Rossman (UCLA). 

The Annex recently released its fiftieth episode.

Sociologia con Acento was a Spanish-language social science interview program, produced and hosted by Daniel Fridman (University of Texas, Austin).

The series ran for 12 episodes in early 2018.

The B-Side

The B-Side was a discussion show about ideas and thinkers at the cutting edge of black culture, politics, and more. The podcast was hosted by Georgetown sociologists Leslie Hinkson and Corey Fields.

The series ran for eight episodes in early 2018.


International Perspectives on Sociology was a two-episode pilot of a show concept that featured discussion on topics of interest to non-US sociologists.
